Turvey Allotments, Fingal

Hi,
Well the planting season has begun on the allotments but disaster has struck.  The council were to be moving us to new better serviced plots , instead of the plots we have, which are accessed by driving across mud and potholes.   It looks now that instead of improving the allotments they are making things worse by closing the allotments at 4.30pm daily, leaving it very difficult for people to pop in after work to water and weed. 
Please if you have a plot in Turvey get in touch with the council....

Hi All
I wrote to Fingal last week requesting that they might see fit to filling in the potholes in Turvey.  I received an email from Gerry.Fitzgerald.Fingalcoco.ie today saying this work will be done and is on the weekly list of the Depot.
Having written my letter I was browsing the net and came across an article dated 12/06/09 where Trevor Sargent welcomes the news that the new allotments in Turvey have been given the goahead - tenders for the completion of the work have been granted.  Will this effect existing holders?  I have written to Gerry Fitzgerald asking said question.  Any reply and I will post it here.
